LANSING, Mich. (AP) - A free seminar is planned next month in Lansing to help businesses owned by veterans find out more about contracting opportunities with the state of Michigan.

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget’s May 5 event is called “Vets Business Boost.”

The seminar in part will cover the Michigan government contracting process and provide information on becoming registered to bid on state contracts and where to find opportunities. Veterans also will have the chance to learn about business resources.
