ABERDEEN, Miss. (AP) - Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says five people have been arrested for their involvement in a chop shop operation.

Cantrell tells WTVA TV (https://bit.ly/1HPA7cD) the five people face several charges, including grand larceny and burglary.

Those arrested include Jimmy Patrick Johns, of Aberdeen; Michael McCollum, of Nettleton; Ronald Presley, of Nettleton; Hershell Wayne Presley, of Nettleton; and Jackie Williams, of Nettleton.

They are accused of stealing vehicles and chopping them up to sell parts.

All remain in custody at the Monroe County Detention Center.

Jail officials couldn’t provide the names of defense attorneys to comment on the charges.
