NORWAY, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a second 22-year-old man has been charged with burglary for breaking into the police station in Norway.

The State Law Enforcement Division says Jamar Tyler was arrested last week and charged with second-degree burglary.

Investigators say Tyler and Jamairre Singleton are charged with breaking through a window to Town Hall, which also contains the Orangeburg County town’s police headquarters. They say the office was ransacked and wiring was ripped during the March 24 break-in.

SLED says police equipment and vehicle parts were stolen. Earlier, SLED said a shotgun and a police radio were stolen from the department. Agents also didn’t say what evidence led them to arrest the men.

Both men face up to 10 years in prison if convicted. It wasn’t known if either man has a lawyer.
