UNION, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey state police say a pursuit of a suspected carjacker ended with shots being fired.

But it’s not clear whether anyone was wounded in the incident, which occurred early Tuesday night in Union, near the Irvington border.

State police say at least one trooper was involved in the shooting but was not hurt.

Further details regarding the pursuit or the apparent carjacking have not been disclosed.
