SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Sioux Falls police say a 14-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after another teen attacked her over the weekend.
The Argus Leader (https://argusne.ws/1HqxfT2 ) reports the girl was walking with friends in an alley about 8 p.m. Sunday when a 16-year-old boy walked up behind her and hit her in the back of the legs with a stick-like object.
Police spokesman Sam Clemens says the girl fell to the ground and the boy hit her in the head with a rock. He says the boy also punched the girl in the face multiple times before putting her into a chokehold and eventually running off.
Clemens says the girl gave her attacker’s name to police, but he hadn’t been arrested as of Monday afternoon.
