LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles firefighters have freed a woman who was trapped in a car that went off a road and tumbled about 150 feet down an embankment.

Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says the crash happened Tuesday morning in the Granada Hills area of the San Fernando Valley.

The woman’s condition isn’t immediately known.

Rescuers managed to hike down and free the woman from the car, which was upside down in trees.

Humphrey says no one else was trapped in the vehicle.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
