BAY CITY, Mich. (AP) - Don’t feel like hauling a pop-up camper for an outdoor outing or don’t have one to haul? There’s a new option this year at Bay City State Recreation Area.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says a rental camper soon will be available for reservation at the recreation area.
The cost is $55 per night and the camper accommodates three to four people. It includes two beds, a table with booth seating and a kitchen sink. Tri-City RV donated nearly $1,000 in repairs to get the camper ready. It will be available for reservations after May 26.
Bay City State Recreation Area is located on Saginaw Bay and features amenities including camping, a playscape, picnic shelters and mini-cabins. It’s also home to the Saginaw Bay Visitor Center.
