COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) - Oktibbeha County Emergency Management Director Jim Britt says he will retire from his post this summer.
The Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1IEUpUE ) Britt, who has led the county’s emergency management agency since the early 2000s, turned in a letter announcing his retirement effective June 27.
District 1 Supervisor John Montgomery said the board will soon begin the process to find Britt’s replacement and said officials could look internally for a hire.
