DOVER, Del. (AP) - Dover voters have re-elected Mayor Robin Christiansen to his first full term.

Christiansen won the mayoral race with 1,390 votes on Tuesday. He defeated former Mayor Carleton Carey, who received 622 votes, and retired school teacher George Gaudioso, who received 104 votes.

Christiansen has been mayor since last June. He won a special election after Carey retired last April.

Meanwhile, voters ousted incumbent council members and picked five new people to fill the five open seats on the nine-seat council.

The newly elected city officials will be sworn in on May 11.
