JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - A criminal investigation is underway into a fire that heavily damaged six businesses in a Jackson strip mall building.

Teton County authorities said in a statement that the fire that spread through a portion of Grand Teton Plaza within a half hour early Sunday may have started at the front of the Habitat For Humanity portion of the building.

The fire destroyed the wooden facade of the building and most of the contents of the six businesses that rent space there.

Town spokeswoman Charlotte Reynolds says the damaged businesses also included two restaurants, a gun shop, an engraving business and a laundry.
