JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - A physician at St. John’s Medical Center has denied charges that he drove drunk with his 13-year-old son in the pickup truck.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (https://bit.ly/1G6XxG3) an attorney for 46-year-old Michael James Menolascino entered not guilty pleas on his behalf to misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and child endangerment. He posted bail after his initial appearance in Circuit Court on Monday. His trial is scheduled for Aug. 5.

Prosecutors say a motorist reported a possible drunk driver on Sunday after spotting a pickup swerving, speeding and driving erratically on U.S. Highway 89. The motorist followed the pickup truck to Jackson Hole High School, where police arrested Menolascino.

Officers say Menolascino failed field sobriety tests and refused a portable breath test. Police obtained a search warrant to draw a blood sample.
