KENAI, Alaska (AP) - Emergency responders are wrapping up three days of training on the Kenai Peninsula intended to improve communication and cooperation among agencies.

KTUU reports (https://bit.ly/1ySTksh) one simulation had a suspicious truck breach a gate at the airport. Kenai firefighters and other local agencies involved in the drill called the Civil Support team from the National Guard.

Participants in the drill said local groups need to know who to call in the event of an emergency and what they can do until backup arrives.
