PLUMSTEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in suburban Philadelphia have identified a man found dead after a fire in his cluttered home.
Police in Bucks County told The (Doylestown) Intelligencer (https://bit.ly/1HlTona ) that 58-year-old Earl Friedemann was killed in the Plumstead Township blaze.
Township police chief Duane Hasenauer said investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen, but the cause remains under investigation.
The fire was reported at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, but Hasenauer said it apparently burned for a “long time” before anyone noticed it.
Firefighters at the scene reported that the victim’s body was recovered under a pile of debris late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.
