JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - Swinging Bridge south of Jackson is closed for an unknown amount of time after a truck hit it and damaged the span.
Authorities say the truck was carrying a tree machine that was too high and it hit the span. Authorities say the truck also exceeded the bridge’s weight limit.
According to the Jackson Hole News and Guide (https://tinyurl.com/myqculu ), Maverick Bartlett was given two separate citations for exceeding the bridge’s height and weight limits.
Bartlett said he had no comment on the incident.
