PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Parker man is facing a vehicular manslaughter charge after a fatal crash in Prescott Valley.

Prescott Valley police detectives arrested 39-year-old Joel Brandon Neider after he was released from a Phoenix hospital on Tuesday.

Investigators say they believe Neider was driving impaired and caused the death of Ronald D. Darnell of Dewey.

Police say the pickup truck Neider was driving allegedly crossed the center line and collided head-on with Darnell’s car Saturday night.

Darnell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neider is being held in the Yavapai County Jail on a $15,000 bond.

In addition to the manslaughter charge, authorities say Neider also is facing seven counts of felony endangerment, three counts of DUI and felony criminal damage.

It was unclear Wednesday if Neider has an attorney.
