DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Police say two men wielding a pellet gun and a wooden stick robbed a discount store in eastern Des Moines.

The Des Moines Police Department says the pair entered a Family Dollar store around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a police report, one man monitored the store and pointed the BB gun at customers while the other swung the stick at a cashier and hit the register’s monitor. The cashier then filled a bag with an undisclosed amount of money and the two fled the store.

Police say a third person may have been keeping watch outside the store. No injuries were reported in the robbery.

The Des Moines Register reports (https://dmreg.co/1Qk0wD7 ) no arrests have been made and no suspects identified at this time.
