THREE FORKS, Mont. (AP) - Gallatin County officials continue their search for an 8-year-old girl who has been missing since falling into the water Sunday evening at Headwaters State Park near Three Forks.

The sheriff’s office says three boats with divers, side scan sonar and underwater cameras will search Wednesday along with two helicopters and several ground searchers. Park County officers and the Montana Highway Patrol were assisting on Wednesday.

Sheriff Brian Gootkin says the girl’s mother saw her fall into the swirling water at the confluence of the Jefferson and Madison rivers.
