ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) - A Rockford logistics and supply-chain management firm has won more than $1 billion in work for the U.S. military to take place over the next five years.
The Rockford Register-Star reports (https://bit.ly/1Fc4s4z ) SupplyCore’s success could help its president pursue other business endeavors that would benefit Rockford.
SupplyCore recently added a $225 million contract to provide supplies and services for the military and civilian agencies in the south-central U.S.
CEO Peter Provenzano says he plans to add 15 jobs in Rockford to the 125-member workforce. The company has six other sites worldwide.
Provenzano also owns Joseph James Partners, which plans a boutique hotel in downtown Rockford and Rock River Development Partnership. It’s a nonprofit that developed the Rockford City Market in 2010 and plans a downtown indoor market.
