CLEARFIELD, Utah (AP) - A woman dressed in pajamas and lying on the tracks in northern Utah was killed after being struck by the FrontRunner train.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1HtDxBm ) that police and Utah Transit Authority are investigating the accident, which happened around 5 a.m. Wednesday near Clearfield.

The train operator originally thought there was debris on the track. Then, just before the train hit her, she sat up.

The train was travelling at 35 miles per hour and could not stop in time.

The FrontRunner is a commuter train that travels to locations north and south of Salt Lake City.

More than 100 passengers on the train were delayed for about two hours while officials investigated.
