WYTHEVILLE, Va. (AP) - Police say a Wytheville man died after his pickup truck apparently was swept away by floodwaters.
Wythe County Sheriff Keith Dunagan tells WDBJ-TV (https://bit.ly/1HUnjle) that Larry Copenhaver’s family reported him missing around 10 p.m. Monday after he didn’t return from turkey hunting. Searchers found Copenhaver’s body inside his truck in Cripple Creek around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Dunagan says flooding closed a number of roads across the county on Monday morning.
