ASH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say the skeletal remains of a female body have been found in a wooded area in southeastern Michigan’s Monroe County.

Sheriff Dale Malone says it will take a day or more to identify the remains, which were discovered Friday by a crew working at the site of a new home in Ash Township.

Workers trying to free a stuck truck discovered the unclothed body.

Investigators have been searching for 22-year-old Chelsea Bruck of Maybee, who disappeared after attending a Halloween party last fall in Newport, about 15 miles away.

Bruck attended the party as a comic villain, Poison Ivy, and was wearing a leaf-covered top and dark purple wig. Many people at the party were too high or drunk to offer much help to police.
