PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Police have arrested three more suspects in connection with the February homicide of Esteban Del Cid in North Portland.
Sgt. Pete Simpson says 19-year-old Austin Luepke was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday and booked into jail on a warrant for murder, menacing and unlawful use of a weapon. Simpson says Luepke will eventually be extradited to Portland.
Two other teens were arrested in Clark County, Washington. Simpson says 18-year-old Taras Burchak and 19-year-old Michael Knox are charged with hindering prosecution.
The arrests come days after 20-year-old Timothy Noe was charged with murder.
Del Cid of Tualatin was shot Feb. 28. His friends tried to take him to a nearby hospital, but got lost and called 9-1-1. Paramedics eventually got Del Cid to the hospital, but he did not survive.
