PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix man is jailed on $1 million bond on suspicion of drug possession and a stabbing.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 27-year-old Mario Raul Martinez allegedly stabbed a man twice in the heart on Wednesday.
He was arrested hours later at a Phoenix hospital where the stabbing victim was being treated.
Police say Martinez was high on heroin and had three children in his car when he was discovered in the hospital parking lot.
They say Martinez got into a fight with a man over ownership of stereo speakers at an apartment complex and allegedly stabbed him twice in the chest.
The victim survived.
Martinez doesn’t have a lawyer yet.
