PHOENIX (AP) - A former Phoenix Parks and Recreation employee convicted of child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor has been sentenced to 33 years in prison.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 44-year-old Arthur Rey Juarez also was sentenced Friday to lifetime supervised probation and have to register as a sex offender.

Juarez was accused of molesting three teenage boys in the 1990s.

Phoenix police said the incidents occurred at Juarez’s home between 1995 and 1998 when the victims were 13, 14 and 15 years old.

Police say the two brothers and their cousin initially reported these crimes in 2001, but they were unsure if they desired prosecution at the time and the case was closed.

Juarez was arrested in March 2013 after a case review by the Child Crimes Task Force.
