CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A judge has set a trial date for a former mental health counselor accused of asking clients if they knew any gang members who would kill her ex-husband.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/IL6cS8 ) Cynthia Guy is set for trial Sept. 21. She’s pleaded not guilty to solicitation of first-degree murder, citing mental illness.
Prosecutors say Guy asked a patient in May if she knew anyone who could arrange the attack. The patient told a manager at Central Wyoming Counseling, and the manager called police.
Guy is accused of approaching two other people about killing her ex-husband - a fellow employee who thought she was just expressing frustration, and another patient.
One client told investigators Guy had complained her husband received most of their property in a divorce settlement.
