1 dead, 6 wounded in western NY pub shooting

GATES, N.Y. (AP) - Police say one man was killed and six people were wounded in a shooting at a pub near Rochester.

Police tell the Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester (https://on.rocne.ws/1z4aNy8 ) that someone opened fire inside the Gates Pub at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police say a 37-year-old man died inside the bar. They say six other people were shot. The victims were taken to nearby hospitals.

Gates Police Chief James VanBrederode says one man is in critical condition and the rest are in stable condition.

Police have made no arrests.
