RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) - An eastern Indiana man who was critically injured last week in a fiery, single-vehicle crash that killed one of his friends has died from his injuries.
The Palladium-Item reports (https://pinews.co/1Dxi8Cs ) that 22-year-old Dylan B. Kettler, of Richmond, died Friday night at Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis. He had been in critical condition in the hospital’s burn unit.
Kettler’s friend, 24-year-old Arie W. Lackey of Centerville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the early morning crash on April 18 along a Fayette County road.
Police said the car the men were riding in was fully engulfed in flames when officers arrived.
Fayette County Sheriff Joey Laughlin says excessive speed is believed to have been the main cause of the crash.
