CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power is distributing about 600 trees to customers.
The power company is working with the Arbor Day Foundation’s “Energy-Saving Trees” initiative.
Trees may be reserved with the company on a first-come, first-served basis at www.arborday.org/cheyennelight . The 2- to 4-foot-tall trees will be delivered directly to customers from May through early June.
Shirley Welte is director of business operations for the power company. She says the program offers the opportunity to promote cleaner air, energy savings and other benefits from planting trees.
