HELENA, Ala. (AP) - Helena officials are in talks with CSX to prevent traffic delays caused by passing trains.

WBMA-TV (https://bit.ly/1GijUIF ) reports Mayor Mark Hall and Police Chief Doug Jones recently met with representatives from rail company CSX to discuss lengthy traffic backups caused by trains.

Police Lt. Brad Flynn said the backups could hinder the department’s response to emergency calls.

Nail salon owner Kim Tapp said the trains also cause delays that keep customers from getting to their appointments.
