ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A Kirtland man has been sentenced to nine years in a federal prison for trafficking methamphetamine in San Juan County.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Mexico says 52-year-old Felix Trujillo received the sentence Friday in an Albuquerque courtroom.

Trujillo must also serve four years of supervised release.

He pleaded guilty in December to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

He was arrested in October 2014 for having more than 50 grams of meth that he intended to give out.

A task force involving the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and several police agencies investigated the case.
