PHOENIX (AP) - Police say a suspect in several Phoenix bank robberies was arrested after allegedly robbing the same bank again.
Phoenix police say a plain-clothes officer saw 27-year-old Tyler Trammell on Friday while conducting a follow-up investigation at a bank inside a Wal-Mart at 19th Avenue and Bell Road.
The officer says he saw Trammell take money from a teller and followed the suspect, who tried to flee in a taxi cab.
Trammell was eventually taken into custody.
Police believe he is the “Average Joe Bandit,” who is suspected of committing at least five bank robberies this month.
