BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Three University of Vermont fraternity brothers, who are triplets, and their friends have raised more than $30,000 for Alzheimer’s research, prompting a second visit from actor and filmmaker Seth Rogen.
Rogen and his wife founded Hilarity for Charity, hosting comedy events and challenging college students to raise money for Alzheimer’s research.
The UVM Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity took Rogen’s challenge last year shortly after John, Ryan and Griffen Fox’s grandfather, who had Alzheimer’s disease, died.
The Burlington Free Press reports (https://bfpne.ws/1bsastO ) that this year the fraternity joined Alpha Chi Omega sorority in selling cookies on campus and doing service projects, raising a total of $30,649.
Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller Rogen visited UVM on Saturday to celebrate the fundraising effort.
