FUNK, Neb. (AP) - Two Nebraska sisters are so encouraged by the success of their junk-inspired festival last fall, they’re holding another one next month in south-central Nebraska.

The Kearney Hub reports (https://bit.ly/1brIMp3 ) that the second Funky Junk Market will be held next Saturday in the tiny village of Funk.

Sisters Audra Peterson, of Funk, and Lexie Frahm, of Gretna, organized the first event last September that drew 1,700 people to the village of 194 people.

The first show featured 25 vendors. The upcoming show has sold out the 41 booths for vendors planning to showcase all things, “chippy, vintage, handmade, rusty or re-purposed.” Food and drink vendors will also participate at the show being held at the Funk School Community Center.
