STORRS, Conn. (AP) - UConn’s national champion women’s basketball team is receiving a sweet honor - a new ice cream flavor named for it.

The school’s Animal Science Department Creamery recently came up with the flavor “Women’s Basketball Team! Triple-Champion Chunk” after the team won its third consecutive national championship.

The school began selling the ice cream at the UConn Dairy Bar this week and officials say it will be available for a limited time.

The concoction features vanilla ice cream with UConn blue sprinkles and a trio of cookie dough chunks, brownie pieces and a thick fudge swirl.

The ice cream is made from milk provided by the department’s cows.
