SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - One person is dead and two are seriously injured after a Sacramento police chase that ended with a crash.

The Sacramento Bee reports (https://bit.ly/1Gy0l1B ) that the chase began around 6:15 Sunday evening when officers identified someone with an outstanding arrest warrant.

The suspect then drove off and eventually collided with a truck, causing the truck to veer into a front yard.



One of the truck’s occupants was pronounced dead at the scene. Another occupant had life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.

The suspect was arrested and sent to a hospital with serious injuries.

Sacramento Police Department spokesman Officer Justin Brown did not identify the suspect but described the person as someone very dangerous with a violent history.

Police have not identified the victims in the crash.
