18-year-old dies after being shot at intersection

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - An 18-year-old man was shot and killed at an intersection.

The New Orleans Advocate (https://bit.ly/1GogCn3 ) reports the victim was killed Sunday evening on Martin Luther King Boulevard and South Johnson Street.

Police say they believe the man was shot at the intersection, then ran a short distance on South Johnson Street where he collapsed. When police and emergency personnel reached the scene, the teenager was lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The man died at the hospital.

Police are looking for a suspect.
