GADSDEN, Ala. (AP) - A man suspected in the death of an Alabama woman has been apprehended with another woman police say he kidnapped.

The Times-Journal (https://bit.ly/1GwQxVo ) reports 32-year-old Doug Minor was taken into custody after a manhunt Sunday. On Saturday, police found 35-year-old Bobby Lynn Ross dead at a home belonging to Minor on Lookout Mountain. Police say Ross had blunt force trauma to the head.

On Sunday, a homeowner reported two people hiding in his chicken house in Cherokee County. WHNT-TV (https://bit.ly/1bveBxa ) reports 36-year-old Norma Jo Grinnell was with Minor when he was apprehended but police say she is a victim. She had bruises on her face and was taken to the hospital.

Authorities say Minor has a long history of violence against women.

It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
