MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - A boy has been injured in a fall from his bicycle at a Mason City nature area.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1GxnUro ) that emergency workers were dispatched around 4:15 p.m. Sunday to a trail at the Lime Creek Nature Center on the north side of Mason City.

Mason City Police Sgt. Tiffany Creekmur says a juvenile male fell from a bicycle and slid down an embankment. The boy’s name wasn’t released.



Rescue crews used a utility vehicle to carry the boy to an ambulance parked at the trail head.

Creekmur says the boy’s injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening.
