Litchville man who died after crash had medical problem

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say a Litchville man who died after a vehicle crash near Valley City suffered a medical problem.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Tom Herzig says a pickup truck driven by 63-year-old Dennis Shape went into the ditch off state Highway 1 late Saturday morning and struck a rock pile.

Shape was pronounced dead at a Valley City hospital. His wife, Diane, was a passenger in the vehicle and suffered an injury that was not considered life-threatening.
