SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police have arrested a South Jordan man they say hid in a woman’s vehicle after he crashed into someone’s backyard.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1OvJzXX ) that South Jordan police say a black Ford truck drove through a fence early Saturday morning and rolled into a backyard, narrowly missing the house.

Police said the driver ran away but left his license behind.

He later climbed into a real estate agent’s car while she was showing a home. She called police when she saw the backseat down and legs sticking out.

Police say the man admitted to driving the truck and said he was running for his life.

He was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
