PIPERSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A 25-year-old man is in custody after a homeowner thwarted the burglar’s attempt to flee from a home in eastern Pennsylvania.
Police say Jules Kahle was arrested Saturday after a Tinicum Township couple found him in their home. Authorities say Kahle pulled a gun and ordered them into their living room before making off with cash, credit cards and food.
But once Kahle left, the male homeowner grabbed his own gun and met Kahle in the driveway. He held Kahle at gunpoint until police arrived.
Kahle is charged with robbery, aggravated assault and related offenses. Kahle was arraigned Saturday and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
Online court records didn’t list an attorney who could comment on the charges.
