SHIRLEY, N.Y. (AP) - Police are investigating a Long Island bank’s third robbery since March.
Newsday reports (https://nwsdy.li/1Gx0P88 ) that the latest heist happened Sunday when a man entered the TD Bank and demanded money from the teller using a note. Suffolk County police say he took an unspecified amount of money and fled.
Sunday’s stickup is the second time in a week that the same TD Bank branch was robbed and the third time it’s been hit by thieves since early March.
Police made an arrest last week in the April 19 holdup of the bank.
The branch was first hit on March 7 when a man handed a note to the teller demanding cash. Police haven’t made any arrests in that robbery.
