CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Authorities say an inmate serving 10 years to life in a northern Nevada prison for assault with a deadly weapon and lewdness with a child under 14 years is dead.
The Nevada Department of Corrections said Friday that 54-year-old Johnny Conner died earlier that day at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center’s medical facility in Carson City.
Authorities say the inmate had a single cell and had been imprisoned since Jan. 13, 2012.
An autopsy will be conducted.
