BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A teenager accused of beating a developmentally disabled man to death in his Boulder apartment is scheduled to stand trial in October, but his attorney indicates a plea deal is likely to end the case before then.

The Daily Camera reports (https://goo.gl/ELP6mi ) an attorney for 19-year-old Luke Pelham said Friday the prosecution had offered a plea deal, but he needed more time to discuss it with his client. For now, the trial is scheduled for Oct. 19.

Pelham and 19-year-old Austin Holford are accused of killing 30-year-old Aaron Tuneberg while trying to steal his video game console March 31, 2014. Police say Tuneberg suffered serious head injuries when he was beaten with a baseball bat and a golf club.

Holford has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and other charges and faces 48 to 70 years in prison.
