CLEVELAND (AP) - A Cleveland man linked by DNA to sexual assaults that happened years ago has been indicted and arrested.
Thirty-three-year-old Dale Wilson was arrested Friday. He is charged with eight counts of rape and three counts of kidnapping for sexual assaults that occurred in 2006 and 2009.
No attorney information was available for Wilson.
He was linked through DNA to evidence gathered in rape test kits after three sexual assaults. In attacks that occurred days apart in April 2009, victims were offered rides in mid-size cars and were then assaulted.
The Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) County prosecutor’s spokesman says Wilson has previous convictions for gross sexual imposition, felonious assault, sexual battery and abduction.
A county task force has indicted 278 people after matching suspects’ DNA to evidence in rape test kits.
