LAS VEGAS, N.M. (AP) - The San Miguel County Magistrate Court begins operating in new quarters Monday following months of disruption because something in the air at its previous location made employees sick.

The Las Vegas Optic (https://goo.gl/ToLIj1 ) reports that workers experienced headaches, red, dry eyes and nausea, and state courts officials temporarily shut down the old location in a leased building in November.

Essential court functions were initially handled in District Court in Las Vegas while the leased building’s owner conducted tests.

The court’s offices then reopened intermittently as the building was cleaned and various changes made, but the problem persisted.

The court closed the building in January as state administrators looked for new space and as court workers did some work in the sheriff’s office.
