AUBURN, N.Y. (AP) - A 46-year-old man has admitted to stabbing his roommate more than a dozen times during an attack in their central New York home the day after Christmas.
The Citizen of Auburn (https://bit.ly/1BVFiRn ) reports that Daniel Rose pleaded guilty Thursday in Cayuga County Court to an assault charge stemming from the Dec. 26 attack at the Auburn home he shared with the victim.
Rose said during his court appearance that he was suffering from delusions when he grabbed a knife in his kitchen and stabbed his roommate approximately 15 times. The man has since recovered.
Rose was initially charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon. In exchange for his plea, he’ll be sentenced June 11 to eight years in prison.
