WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - Police have released the name of a young boy who was shot in the abdomen in Waterloo.
The Waterloo Police Department says 4-year-old Marshon Glover was inside a home Thursday when the shooting occurred. Police say the shooting happened outside, but that what they believe to be a stray bullet entered the home and struck the boy.
Marshon was transported to Allen Hospital in Waterloo, where he underwent surgery and has been listed in stable condition.
Capt. David Mohlis tells the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier (https://bit.ly/19STJza ) that preliminary evidence indicates the residence was not the intended target of the shooting. No arrests have been made.
Officials say the case remains under investigation.
