MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - About 100 people gathered near the Mississippi River to help search for a 10-year-old boy who has been missing for more than two weeks.

The Star Tribune reports that Thursday’s search was organized by four women who met on Facebook and wanted to do something to help find Barway Collins.

Police say all items recovered during the search will be analyzed to see if they are related to his disappearance. According to the Star Tribune, authorities say a red shoe found during Thursday’s search is not linked to the case.

Barway was last seen after school on March 18 in front of his apartment complex. Police have said the boy’s father, Pierre Collins, is a suspect but he hasn’t been arrested or charged. Pierre Collins has said he’s innocent.
