Severe thunderstorm watch issued for north Georgia

ATLANTA (AP) - Forecasters have issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of north Georgia as severe storms move east out of Alabama.

Forecasters say the thunderstorm watch includes nearly 20 counties in north Georgia and the advisory is expected to expire early Saturday morning.

The weather advisory was issued as a system of severe thunderstorms prompted tornado warnings in north Alabama and south Tennessee as it moved east.
